Who Makes Audi?

So, who makes Audi? Audi was founded in 1899 by August Horch. It was originally known as the “Horch & Cie” automotive group. Once founded, he built his first car which included inline four engine models and six-cylinder models. These models set the standard in the auto world where other brands would quickly fall in line. August founded his second auto company named, “Audi” which translates to “horch” or “hark” meaning “listen” in Latin.

The other German auto brand competitors like Dampf-Kraft-Wagen and Wanderer began to make an impact in the auto industry. The four brands partnered together to create the Auto Union, which allowed them to manufacture the innovative consumer and racing vehicles for decades. The Audio brand became incorporated, however, the logo of the “four rings” represents the four German companies that allowed their innovation to flourish to this day.

Where Are Audi Vehicles Manufactured?
