Used BMW 5-Series Trim Levels

2019 BMW 5 Series

It’s no stretch of the imagination to say that BMW has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to luxury and the 5-Series is the crown jewel of that for Mount Vernon drivers. The 5-Series has been at the head of the pack of luxury midsize sedans, leaving many of their competitors to try and catch up, which is why the 2019 model, in particular, was when BMW decided to take a step back and instead approach the 5-Series with a more luxurious touch in mind. You can find out more about the BMW 5-Series configurations that are available at Victory Mitsubishi today.

5-Series Configuration Options

There were a few changes from 2018 to 2019 when it came to the BMW 5-Series trim levels, including the introduction of a new trim as well as standard features shared among each model. All the 5-Series now come standard with Apple CarPlay, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warnings, parking sensors, and a few more previously optional features for New Rochelle drivers. However, it is important to note that Android Auto is not supported, only the Apple CarPlay®. You can expect five trim levels available for used 5-Series of at least 2019. These are the 530i, 530e, 540i, M550i, and the M5.

BMW 5-Series 530i

The entry-level trim level for the 5-Series still comes with most of the technology and safety features you would expect to find on higher-level competitor trim levels. Powered by a 248-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, you get a nice balance of power and efficiency. Some models may also come with the xDrive all-wheel-drive system. Standard features you can expect from the 530i include:

  • 10.2-inch touch screen
  • HD Radio™
  • 12-speaker system
  • Bluetooth®
  • Keyless entry
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Parking sensors
  • Driver drowsiness monitoring
  • Adaptive headlights
  • Active Driving Assistant package

BMW 5-Series 530e iPerformance

The 530e takes many of the same standard features as the 530i, but includes a plug-in hybrid engine. It still gives you the powerful 248-horsepower output of the 530i, but with a much greater improvement on efficiency.

BMW 5-Series 540i

The 540i expands on many of the 530i features, including the engine. Now sporting a much more powerful 335-horsepower turbocharged inline six-cylinder, giving you a heart-pumping boost to performance.

BMW 5-Series M550i

The next-in-line upgrade is also an M series, meaning it prides itself on further pressing performance to the letterhead. The previously upgraded engine is once again given a boost, and the M550i now sports an incredible 456-horsepower twin-turbo V8, with an all-wheel-drive standard. It also brings additional standard features from other M-series cars such as the M Sport exhaust, adaptive suspension, sports brakes, and more.

BMW 5-Series M5

The final trim level available is the high-performance M5, which almost feels like overkill of a luxury model. A sports car hiding under an amazing exterior. A fighter jet disguised as a private plane. The M5 features a mind-boggling 600-horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine. It also introduces other standard features such as:

  • Heated steering wheel
  • 16-speaker Harman Kardon stereo
  • Gesture recognition
  • Wireless device charging
  • Automatic high-beam headlights
